In a large bowl, combine the yoghurt, garlic, cumin seeds and salt and pepper
Add the chicken tenderloin strips and mix until all are coated with the marinade
Refrigerate for at least half an hour before cooking
Heat one tablespoon of oil in a fry pan on medium heat
Add the chicken tenderloins to the pan and cook on low/medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side turning once
When all cooked, put 2 tablespoons of water in the pan and place a lid on. Steam for 3 minutes on low heat then turn heat off and remove lid
Serve with vegetables of choice
This is such a tasty and super healthy meal. You can easily cook half a kilo of the chicken in 1 tablespoon of oil without it tasting dry and boring! I put a pinch of salt for Jacob because i really don't believe that we should be cutting out salt competely from the baby's diet. After all the body needs some form of sodium. However in saying that, it is completely optional.
For the adult portion, you can add the salt and pepper once you have taken the baby portion out and onto the pan.
My dear mother in law gave me the idea to steam the chicken for a couple of minutes after it is cooked, it really makes the meat so tender and I'm so glad she shared such a great cooking trick with me! So, enjoy!
