Add onion, garlic and parsley to food processor and mix to a fine dice, add tomoto and mix further (the tomato should be chunkier than the rest of the mix)
Place the mixture into a bowl, add mince beef, herbs and spices, egg and breadcrumbs
Using clean hands, combine the mixture
Roll mixture into small (golf ball sized) balls then flatten to make a meat patty.
Cook in a fry pan with a little oil for 3-4 minutes on each side (ensure the meat is well done for younger children)
Serve with avocado and beetroot relish on a dinner bun
Tip: When cutting the bun for the burgers, only cut three quarters of the way through the bread to fill with ingredients. This helps the burger stay intact when little eaters are handling it... we know messy it can get!
I love homemade burgers because i know exactly what goes into it and it tastes amazing! I don't believe children should miss out on eatig 'fun' foods just because we are scared of the unhealthy meals that are sold at fast food restaurants. These mini burgers are a great little treat, great to wrap up and take out when advneturing for the day and a really great party food idea!
